The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready at home

Lorenzo got ready at home: shirt, cufflinks and the petrol-green suit with a pale waistcoat, and a last goodbye to the dog before leaving. Elisa in her room with her friends dressed in blue: make-up, the dress hanging in the window, the light blue shoes and a helping hand to fasten the dress.

The church ceremony

Elisa arrived at church in a black Mustang and hugged Lorenzo outside before going in. Then the walk down the aisle, the exchange of rings, the readings and a surprise dance in front of the altar by her friends dressed in blue, through to the signing.

Leaving church and arriving at Al Dossello

Outside, the rice toss, with lots of children and even the dog celebrating the couple. At Al Dossello the Mustang drove in under the courtyard arch: applause in the garden, drinks with a live saxophone, the seating plan and the top table with blue hydrangeas.

Reception and dancing

Inside, the reception got going with napkins waving in the air and the first dances between courses, complete with an impromptu bullfighter. In the garden their friends tossed Lorenzo into the air and the guests formed a heart around the couple, filmed by the drone.

The portraits

In the afternoon we went out among the vines, under an overcast sky with the vineyards in their autumn colours. Then the last portraits in the courtyard and garden of Al Dossello, in front of the inn’s sign and under the lit portico.

Cake, first dance and party

In the evening, speeches at the top table, the sugared-almond table and the cake cut in the garden among illuminated fountains and coloured smoke. The bouquet toss, the first dance and then the party, with heart-shaped glasses, glow sticks and dancing late into the night.
