The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Giovanni put on the blue Mandarin-collar jacket with silver buttons, with cufflinks, polished shoes and a few last adjustments. Laura got ready in a frescoed room, with the dress hanging on the wall, make-up at the mirror, braided hair and the dress to fasten.

The ceremony in the garden

The civil ceremony took place at the end of the garden avenue, between the hedges, in front of the two gold and silver trees, with the bell tower in the background. Laura came out of the castle gate and was walked down the avenue with her strelitzia bouquet; then the vows read at the microphone, the exchange of rings, the kiss, the signing and the walk out under a shower of petals.

Drinks in the courtyard

The couple entered the courtyard through the arch in the old wall, between torches, with the guests lined up waiting for them. A toast, oysters and finger food, live music and, from above, the drone filmed the guests forming a heart in front of the castle.

The portraits

We went round the castle with the couple: the red autumn creeper on the walls, the façade with its coat of arms and obelisks, the stone staircase, the loggia with three arches open onto the countryside and the frescoed porticoes.

Dinner, cake and party

Dinner was served under the portico, among white drapes and fairy lights, with the tables named after places in Middle-earth and the couple welcomed by guests waving their napkins. In the evening the cake cut in the courtyard amid smoke and coloured lights, the bouquet toss, the first dance under the fireworks and the party until late.
