How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready at home

Luca got ready at home, with tie, cufflinks and polished shoes, the wedding rings ready and kisses from the little girls before leaving. Paola in her room: make-up, the dress hanging on the wardrobe, high spirits with her friends, the buttons fastened one by one and her first steps as a bride in the garden, among the palm trees.

Waiting at the Rocca Sforzesca

In the courtyard of the fortress everything was ready: chairs under the arches, white flowers and a floral arch for the ceremony. Luca waited in the square in front of the castle, next to a big white and blue lorry that delighted the children, until Paola arrived in a white car, moved to tears.

The civil ceremony under the loggia

Paola walked along the red carpet, preceded by the bridesmaids scattering petals, up to the frescoed loggia overlooking the walls. The readings, the coloured sand ceremony, the exchange of rings and the signing, then the kiss and the walk out into the courtyard under a shower of rice.

Portraits at the agriturismo

At Agriturismo Fenil Grande, drinks in the courtyard, with a seating plan shaped like a vintage car and a caricaturist among the guests. Then we went with the couple among the meadows and the orchard, with the sun low behind the trees: walks hand in hand, laughter, a kickabout with a football and a break lying on the grass, filmed by the drone too.

Dinner, cake and party

The entrance into the hall amid waving napkins and dinner under wicker chandeliers. In the evening the guests formed a heart on the lawn, then the cake cutting amid light fountains, the fireworks, the bouquet toss and the first dance under the parasols, before the games and the party into the night.
