The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Caio got dressed among polished shoes, a shirt to button and his dinner jacket. Michelle in a room with painted walls, with make-up, hair, the tulle dress hanging and then put on, the earrings, and the bridesmaids in sage green along the grand staircase.

The civil ceremony under the vaults

The ceremony took place under the stone vaults, among pampas grass, candles and an arch of flowers. The groom walked in with the bulldog, the bride was announced by a little girl carrying the sign “Uncle, here comes the bride”; then readings by friends, the vows read by the couple, the exchange of rings and the kiss.

Portraits in the palazzo

After the ceremony a toast in the flower garden and the first portraits on the lawn and under the veil. Then the grand staircase, the old wooden doors and the reception set-up: the seating plan with its frames, the couple’s table with wicker chairs in front of the tropical wallpaper.

The courtyard and the evening

At sunset we went down into the courtyard, among the willows, the pergola with its chandeliers and the portico lit in pink. As darkness fell, the last portraits on the palazzo’s grand staircases, from the glow of the wall lamps to the view down the stairwell from above.

Cake and party

The four-tier cake was cut in front of a cascade of fairy lights, and during the evening there were also henna tattoos for the guests. Then the bouquet toss, the groom lifted high by his friends and the violinist with her illuminated violin.
