The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Andrea got ready among the leather shoes, the belt, the burgundy bow tie, the watch and the ring cushion, with a last touch before putting on his jacket. Monica, with a flower in her hair, among make-up, the dress hanging at the window and the shoes, then her friends in light blue and a hug from her parents.

The ceremony within the walls

The ceremony took place on the lawn of the Rocca, between the crenellated walls and the olive trees, with the aisle strewn with white petals. Monica arrived on her father’s arm through the stone gate; then the vows before the officiant wearing the tricolour sash, the rings and the kiss.

Leaving the ceremony and the drinks reception

On the way out, a shower of rice and petals, hugs and applause all along the aisle. Then drinks on the lawn beneath the ramparts, with a cheese buffet and live music in the courtyard.

Portraits in the Rocca

We explored the Rocca with the couple: the crenellated brick gate, the arches, the welcome sign, the terrace overlooking Lake Garda and the walkways. At sunset, portraits on the walls under a glowing sky, and their friends running and celebrating them on the lawn.

Dinner, cake and party

Dinner in the glass-walled hall, with a card about Danish wedding traditions at every place and live music, guitar and voice. The cutting of the cake among sparkler fountains, the first dance and the party in the hall until late at night.
