The wedding of Federica and Davide

The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Davide got ready at home with the blue suit hanging up, cufflinks, shoes to lace and a toast with his family before leaving. Federica, with her bridesmaids in dusky pink, amid make-up, hair and jumping on the bed; then the dress fastened and her father’s face when he saw her for the first time.

The church ceremony

Little girls with flowers led the procession and Federica walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, her very long veil trailing over the chequered floor. The exchange of rings, the kiss, the signing and a dip in front of the altar among the bridesmaids.

Walking out among the petals

Through the green door of the church the newlyweds came out under a shower of pink petals, amid raised arms and laughter. From above, with the drone, all the guests gathered in front of the church.

Villa Baiana

The newlyweds arrived in a blue Mustang between the villa’s arched hedges. Waiting for them were the seating plan hung from the branches of an olive tree, their entrance into the hall to applause, the toast and a travel-themed table with globes, cameras and Polaroids.

The portraits

In the villa’s courtyard, the veil lifted by the wind, kisses beside the Mustang, friends throwing the couple into the air and portraits lying on the lawn in front of the hedges. At night we went back outside, under the illuminated pergola and olive tree, then among the barrels in the cellar and on the staircase.

Dinner, cake and party

Federica entered the hall in Davide’s arms, then heart-shaped glasses, toasts and songs at the microphone. The cake on the lawn amid fountains of sparks, the sabrage and the fireworks, then the bouquet toss, the first dance and the party until late.
