The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Mirko got ready at home, among cufflinks, bow tie and the jacket to button, with his sports bike ready in the courtyard and the “Viva gli sposi” banner hung on the wall. Astrid in her room, with make-up, earrings and the mirror, the dress fastened over her tattooed back, white shoes and her friends dressed in sage green.

The church ceremony

Mirko arrived in the square by motorbike, Astrid by car, welcomed by the page boy with a sign reading “the bride”. The walk down the aisle, the exchange of rings, the kiss and the signing, then the walk out in front of the church under a shower of rice.

The park at Villa Mattioli

At Villa Mattioli, drinks and then portraits in the park: the stone bench, the fountain among the flower beds, the great trees and the lawn in front of the yellow villa. The drone filmed the villa and the park from above.

Lunch and the afternoon

The newlyweds entered the chandeliered hall between two rows of waiters. In the afternoon everyone was out on the lawn: the guests arranged in a heart for the drone, the piggyback race with the villa in the background and games with friends. Then a few portraits inside the villa, on the wrought-iron staircase and in the drawing rooms.

Cake, bouquet and party

The cake was cut outdoors under a green arch, amid illuminated fountains, then the bouquet toss on the lawn. The party carried on under the marquee with the DJ, the guests spelt out the couple’s names with their bodies on the lawn and the day ended with fireworks.
