The story

How it went, moment by moment

The morning of getting ready

Alex got ready with braces, cufflinks and a blue jacket with a flower in the buttonhole. Josephine, in her room, with make-up, earrings and her dress hanging on the wardrobe, her bridesmaids in sage-green robes and the gypsophila bouquet ready on the table.

The church ceremony

The ceremony took place in a large church with decorated naves and pews marked with bows and gypsophila. Josephine’s walk down the aisle, the exchange of rings, the kiss, the signatures and the exit in front of the church under a shower of petals.

Arriving at Villa Zaccaria

The couple arrived at the villa in a white open-top vintage car, passing under the entrance portico. A wave from the staircase with its stone balustrade, then the aperitif in the garden among the white gazebos, with a live saxophone.

Lunch and the park

The entrance into the hall was a celebration, with napkins twirling in the air among the round tables beneath the stuccowork. In the afternoon, portraits in the villa’s park: the avenue with its statues, the pond, the tall trees and the bamboo grove.

Cake and party in the courtyard

Accordion and tambourine got everyone dancing in the hall, before the sugared-almond table and the cigar corner in the garden. The cake cutting in front of the glass façade, among sparkler fountains and soap bubbles, and then music and dancing in the courtyard into the evening.
