How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready at the castle

Valeria got ready with her friends, all in pink robes, in one of the castle’s frescoed rooms, with the dress hanging in the window, the shoes and the white bouquet. Stefano got ready in another painted room, with bow tie, cufflinks and boutonnière.

The ceremony in the park

The ceremony took place on the lawn of the park, among the pines, with an altar of white flowers and a wooden tree hung with hearts and candles. The vows read at the microphone, their dog arriving through the guests, the exchange of rings, the coloured ribbon tied around their hands and the kiss, then the signatures of the couple and their witnesses.

Leaving the ceremony and the drinks reception

As they walked out, the guests greeted them with coloured smoke and a shower of petals. Then the drinks reception in the castle courtyard, among the arcades and the buffets, and a toast with the newlyweds.

Portraits among the bridges and the park

In the afternoon light we went down to the river: the suspension bridge, the old stone bridge and the houses of the village. At sunset, the last portraits in the park, under the stone pergola and on the lawn in front of the castle.

Dinner, cake and party

Dinner under the pergola lit by chandeliers, and the cake cutting in front of the arch of stone and flowers amid sparkler fountains. The bouquet toss and the party in the hall, dancing late into the night.
