The story

How it went, moment by moment

The bride getting ready

Milena got ready at home, with curlers, make-up and her friends in the living room. Then the silver shoes, the white dress with lace gloves and the first smiles by the curtains, ready to leave.

The church ceremony

Stefano waited for her at the altar, and Milena walked down the aisle with her lilac bouquet. The readings, the exchange of rings, the guests’ applause and the walk out in front of the church under a shower of coloured petals, with a photo of all the guests taken by the drone.

Portraits in the hills

In the afternoon we went up a hill with the couple, around an old stone building, along the tree-lined avenue and onto the low wall overlooking the view. Hugs, laughter and a few stolen kisses in the warm April light.

The reception at Due Roccoli

At Due Roccoli the guests found the seating plan, tables laid with lilac ribbons and flowers, and dinner under the wisteria in bloom. Toasts, music at the microphone and the children holding up the bride’s train.

Sunset over the lake

During dinner we went out onto the terrace for the sunset over Lake Iseo, then along a woodland path and beside the stone walls for the last portraits in the evening light.

Cake and party

In the evening Milena let her hair down for the party. The cake cutting on the lit terrace, the bouquet toss, the couple’s dance among the guests and the party under the marquee, with the couple lifted up by their friends.
