The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Giorgio got ready at home with his family, with cufflinks, an embroidered waistcoat and a hug before leaving. Sara in her room with her friends: make-up, the dress hanging up, the shoes and the bouquet of white hydrangeas, laughter on the bed and the dress to fasten, until the moment she was seen dressed as a bride.

The civil ceremony in the garden

The ceremony took place in the garden of La Vacherie, with white seats either side of an aisle of petals and the arch of drapes among the trees. Sara was walked down the aisle, then the exchange of rings, the signing and the kiss, and the walk out under a shower of petals.

The toast and the hall

Along the avenue, the couple’s first toast, then drinks outdoors, the guests in a circle around them on the lawn and a kiss by the fountain, with the veil in the wind. Meanwhile the hall was ready: round tables, hydrangeas and gypsophila, gilded mirrors and the seating plan on the white table.

Dinner

The entrance into the hall amid waving napkins and toasts at the tables. And a surprise for Sara: a letter and a frog prince in a box.

Evening in the park

In the last of the light we went back to the park: under the wisteria pergola and stone columns, along the cobbled avenue and in the little sitting room with painted walls.

Cake and party

The couple returned between two lines of guests holding lit sparklers, then the tiered cake amid sparkler fountains, the bouquet toss and the word “Love” drawn in light. The first dance and the party in the hall, with conga lines and dancing until late.
