How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready at the villa

Angelo got ready in a frescoed room of the villa, with cufflinks, shoes and a helping hand with his collar, then a few portraits at the door, beside the piano and on the outdoor staircase with his friends. Stefania, in a room with a painted ceiling, between make-up, hair and the dress hanging in the window, until the long lace train was spread out on the carpet.

The ceremony in the park

The civil ceremony took place in the garden of Villa Canton, in front of an arrangement of roses and pampas grass. Stefania arrived along the stepping-stone path across the lawn, with the villa behind her. The vows read at the microphone, the pink and blue sand ceremony, the exchange of rings and the signing, then the walk out to applause with the bouquet raised.

The party in the park

Under the marquee in the park, toasts, a singer and a saxophonist playing live and caricatures drawn on the spot. On the lawn the guests formed a big heart, filmed by the drone, and friends tossed first the groom and then the bride into the air.

Portraits among the cypresses

For the portraits we went round the park: the ivy wall, the lawn in front of the villa, the gate at the end of the cypress avenue. Then the stone staircase, with the couple lying on the steps seen from the drone and the veil flying in the wind.

The reception in the hall

Dinner in the villa’s hall, with the seating plan, sugared almonds and round tables among candles and flowers. The couple danced their way in between the tables, then a kiss and a toast at their table and the whole room celebrating.

Cake beneath the staircase and party

As evening fell, the cake awaited the couple at the foot of the illuminated staircase and was cut amid fountains of sparks, with the guests all around. Then the first dance and the party on the dance floor late into the night.
