The wedding of Miriana and Paolo

The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Paolo dressed in his room, with the jacket hanging in the window and friends helping him with his shoes, then a few portraits in his blue suit. Miriana, between make-up and laughter on the bed with her friends, put on the lace dress with its long train; her mother saw to the final details and her parents kissed her before the veil went on.

The ceremony at San Giorgio

Paolo waited in front of the church with the bouquet of white calla lilies, while the white lorry pulled into the square. In the pale church, with its stucco work and the arch of flowers over the aisle, Miriana was walked to the altar; then the readings, the exchange of rings, the kiss and the signing of the register.

Leaving the church and portraits in the village

On the way out, a shower of rice on the church steps. For the portraits we stayed in the village: the veil lifted by the wind, laughter behind iron railings with a view over the rooftops and a kiss in front of an old stone building with arched balconies.

The lorry and the sun

The white lorry, decked with garlands and bows, became the backdrop for some of the photos, with the couple posing and then sitting on the cab step. With the sun came the backlit portraits, under the vines and on a bench by the lake.

The reception at Relais Franciacorta

On the big lawn at the Relais the guests ran towards us, with Paolo carrying Miriana in his arms, and then joined hands to form a heart around the couple, filmed from above by the drone.

The party

In the evening, an embrace under the fairy lights amid the sparks, then the party in the hall with its wooden beams: toasts, dancing and her friends lying on the floor around Miriana.
