How it went, moment by moment

The morning of getting ready

Ilaria got ready with her dress hanging on the wardrobe, make-up and laughter with her friends in colourful dresses. Meanwhile Luca was sorting out his cufflinks and tie with help from his friends, amid shoes, watch and his blue jacket.

The ceremony beneath the arch of flowers

The ceremony took place in the garden of Casa Mascagni, among rows of white chairs and arrangements of roses and gerberas, with a live saxophone accompanying the bride’s arrival. The vows read at the microphone, the exchange of rings, the sand ceremony with the little ones and the kiss, then the walk out to applause.

Drinks and lunch

After the ceremony, drinks outdoors with the buffet and bubbly on ice, friends tossing the groom into the air and a photo from above with the drone. Then lunch in the red-walled dining room, with a menu dedicated to the couple and the toasts.

Portraits in the park

In the afternoon we took some time for portraits in the villa’s park: the flower-lined steps, the willows, the pink roses in front of the fountains and the tree-lined avenues down to the gate. In the evening light, the last photos with the children and the illuminated villa seen from the drone.

The evening: cake, fireworks and party

The cake was cut outdoors, among chandeliers, flowers and illuminated fountains, with fireworks over the garden. Then the first dance under the veranda and the party with a live band until late, with the bouquet toss.
