The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Nicola got ready at home with his family, with the blue jacket hanging in the window, the cufflinks and the knot of his tie. Michela at her home, with make-up, the lace dress hanging on the door, light blue shoes and her little dog always by her side, until the dress was fastened and the last touches by the window.

The ceremony at the sanctuary

Michela set off in a white vintage car and walked down the aisle to the altar, between pews decorated with sunflowers. The exchange of rings, the signing and the kiss, then out in front of the church amid applause and a shower of rice.

Casa Mascagni

At Casa Mascagni the guests found the seating plan among the palm trees, tables laid on the lawn with sunflowers and daisies, and the drinks buffet under parasols beside the white turret. The couple arrived in the vintage car along the flower-lined drive and were welcomed with a toast.

Portraits in the park

Before sunset we took some time for portraits in the park: the paths with their lamp posts, the weeping willows, the entrance gate and the steps between the flowerbeds.

Cake and party

After dinner in the garden, under the fairy lights and with the odd cowboy hat, the cake cutting by the pool with sparkler fountains and the bride looking out from the lit turret. Then the bouquet toss and the party in the hall until late at night.
