Their day
Michela and Alessandro were married on 18 September 2025: a church ceremony and reception at Le Cantorie, in Gussago (BS), the stone hamlet among cypresses, olive trees and terraced vineyards overlooking the plain. Drinks on arrival, dinner in the stone hall, games among the cypresses and, at sunset, the cake on the lawn beneath two hearts of greenery, with sparkler fountains.
We followed them from getting ready at home to the party in the hall, with photography and drone footage. Here are the photographs, in the order the day unfolded.
The story
Alessandro got dressed at home, with cufflinks, shoes to lace and help from his family, through to the blue suit with waistcoat. Michela in her room, with the dress hanging on the wardrobe, make-up, the pink and red bouquet and the dress laced up at the back before leaving.
Michela arrived in the church square in a black car decorated with white ribbons, with a live violin accompanying her entrance. Inside, the aisle with its white runner between arrangements of orchids, gypsophila and candles; then the rings, the kiss, the signing and the veil spread out over the aisle. On the way out, a shower of white petals and kisses under the heart-shaped arch in front of the doorway.
After a stop in the garden with its cloud-pruned olive trees, the veil in the wind, the couple arrived at Le Cantorie in a white sports car. The entrance through the stone passage, then drinks with the chef at the stove, the seating plan hung on an old sparkling-wine riddling rack and the hall laid between stone walls and beamed ceilings.
During dinner, toasts, speeches at the microphone and the groom tossed into the air by his friends; outside, a piggyback race along the paved avenue between the cypresses, filmed by the drone too. In the sunset light we climbed the slope above the terraced vineyards, then went among olive trees, iron gates and the terrace with its columns.
The cake was cut on the lawn overlooking the plain, between two hearts of greenery and the words Ale & Michy, with sparkler fountains and the bouquet toss. After sunset the last portraits against the red sky, the sugared-almond table and a dessert made by the couple amid clouds of white smoke.
In the hall the couple watched together the video screened for them, then dances with their families and the first dance under the beams, amid purple lights and the twirling of the dress. And the party with friends until late in the evening.
