The wedding of Simona and Federico

The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Federico got ready at home with his family, among cufflinks, a blue waistcoat and a pocket watch; outside, his friends’ banner and the “Just married” sign with the date. Simona in her room, with white trainers beside the dress, make-up, the bridesmaids in pink with flower crowns, and her walk down the stairs already dressed as a bride.

The church ceremony

The church was decorated with hydrangeas, roses and pampas grass in shades of pink and blue. Simona was walked down the aisle to the altar; then the readings, the violin and live singing, the exchange of rings, the kiss and the signing. Outside, a shower of petals in front of the church.

Arriving at Le Cantorie

At Le Cantorie the guests found drinks under the stone portico, with small bites and the seating plan hung on an old wooden door. The newlyweds drove up to the lawn among the olive trees, with a toast and a kiss before going in; then lunch in the hall, welcomed by guests waving their napkins.

An afternoon between cellar and courtyard

In the afternoon we went down into the cellar, among stone steps, tunnels and barrels. Outside, the drone filmed the guests from above, arranged in a heart in the courtyard, then the run along the cypress avenue, with Simona on Federico’s shoulders and the groom thrown into the air by his friends.

Cake and bouquet at sunset

In the evening the cake was cut on the terrace, under an arch of flowers overlooking the plain. Then the bouquet toss on the lawn, with the sun low over the hills, and the last portraits under the vine pergola, among the terraced vineyards, the olive trees and the cypress avenues.

Sugared almonds, first dance and party

In the hall, the sugared almond table with pastries and favours, and the fingerprint tree left by the guests. The first dance under coloured lights and then the party, with confetti and dancing into the night.
