The story

How it went, moment by moment

Getting ready

Daniele got ready at home, in a blue Mandarin-collar jacket with a buttonhole flower, amid kisses and hugs with the family. Serena, with make-up and hair, her bridesmaids in pink, the dress hanging in the living room, glittery shoes and a bouquet of pink roses and gypsophila; before leaving, a moment all to herself with her dog.

The church ceremony

In a bright, modern church, the pageboys announced the bride’s arrival with signs reading «Zio Dani sta arrivando la tua sposa» (Uncle Dani, your bride is coming), followed by the bridesmaid with a flower crown. Serena arrived by car and was walked to the altar to Daniele, who was waiting for her, full of emotion. Then the exchange of rings and the walk out under a shower of rice.

The veil in the wind and the meadow

After a moment in the car, just for the two of them, the first portraits: the long veil lifted by the wind, with the plain in the background, then lying in the grass amid laughter and glances, filmed from above by the drone too.

Among vineyards and cypresses

At Le Cantorie we walked among the terraced vines, under an old olive tree with the hamlet behind, in the black-and-white loggia and in front of the stone doorway. In the evening light, the cypress avenue and the iron gate, under a pink sky.

The reception

Drinks in the hall with the wooden ceiling and dinner outdoors, with the tables laid under the great tree beside the tower. The couple on the terrace between one toast and the next, then the guests celebrating and a piggyback race along the avenue.

Cake and party

At twilight, an embrace on the lawn in front of the lit-up plain. The cake was cut under an arch of flowers, amid sparkler fountains, and the evening ended in the hall, with the couple tossed into the air by their friends.
