The story

How it went, moment by moment

The morning of getting ready

For Luigi: the bow tie, the cufflinks and the hanger engraved with their names and the date, a love note on the cologne and the waistcoat adjusted with the help of his loved ones. Meanwhile Valentina, between curls, make-up and the clip in her hair, right up to the long-sleeved dress with its train and leaving home on her father’s arm.

The church ceremony

Valentina arrived on foot along the cypress avenue and entered the church with her father, between pews decorated with white roses. The vows read at the microphone, the rings brought on a cushion, the signing and the kiss at the altar, then the exit amid hugs from the guests.

The toast at Villa Fenaroli

The newlyweds arrived by car through the villa gates and walked along the corridor lined with statues to the room with the arched windows for the first toast. Meanwhile the salon was ready, with round tables, white flowers and glowing chandeliers, and in the garden there was time for the first portraits on the lawn.

Sunset portraits

In the evening light we explored the villa garden: the train flying among the beds of red roses, the wrought-iron gate, the balcony and the grand stone staircase, where a little corgi joined the newlyweds too.

Party, cake and first dance

The evening was one big party: songs at the microphone with friends, dancing and a buffet of desserts and watermelon. At night, the three-tier cake in the courtyard amid sparkler fountains and a toast with sparkling wine, then the first dance in the salon, the bouquet toss and dancing until late.
