The story

How it went, moment by moment

The morning

Alessandro got dressed at home, his shirt buttons done up by family and friends helping with waistcoat and cufflinks. Valentina got ready in the house among the mountains: make-up, shoes and wedding rings on the doily, laughter with her friends on the bed and the lace dress fastened in front of the window, before stepping out onto the wooden balcony.

The church ceremony

Valentina arrived in the red convertible in the church square, where Alessandro was waiting for her with the bouquet in his hand. Then her walk on her father’s arm down the frescoed nave, the exchange of rings, the signing and the kiss at the altar, and the walk out in front of the church under a shower of rice and petals.

The lake and a surprise in the village

After Mass we stopped on the lakeshore, between still water and mountains, for the first portraits with the long train spread on the grass. In the village a little table laid on the zebra crossing was waiting for them, and the couple sat down for a toast in the middle of the street.

Villa Fenaroli

At Villa Fenaroli the convertible pulled up in the cobbled courtyard, beneath the grand staircase. Drinks along the porticoes, the seating plan, the rooms laid with roses and then the couple’s entrance between the columns of the grand hall.

Sunset and the party

During dinner we went outside for portraits: in front of the gate, lying on the lawn with the villa’s façade behind them, on the grand staircase with its red carpet and on the terrace at sunset, filmed by the drone too. In the evening, the cake in the courtyard amid the sparks, the bouquet toss, the first dance in the frescoed hall and a party into the night.
